What we today call the house or the majada is located in a small town in the eastern mountains of Leon called Fuentes de Peñacorada (in the Picos de Europa), at an altitude of 1100 m. (3600 feet), 7 km (4.5 miles) from Cistierna, 20 km (12.5 miles) from Boñar and 30 km (18 miles) from Riaño.
It was built in the 19th century to provide shelter for livestock and hay. It has now been remodelled as a family residence, respecting the stone masonry exterior, as well as its oak eaves. It faces south, with beautiful views of the north face of the Pico de Peñacorada, 1823 metres (6000 feet) high.
Located on a 5000 m2 plot, the house is approximately 150 m2 (1600 sq. feet), divided between two floors.
On the ground floor, there is a sitting room, a toilet, an additional room and a kitchen-diner. On the upper floor there are three bedrooms, each with its own bath: a master bedroom and two double rooms with an extra bed each.
The house has all kinds of comforts: chimney, television, DVD, sound system, refrigerator, heating, washing machine, vitroceramic hob, microwave oven, mixer, iron, oven, toaster, juicer, coffee maker, etc., as well as all the household items necessary for a home.
We have designed a rural holiday house, thinking about you enjoying yourselves within tranquil surroundings, among friends or with your family. We remind you that we do not allow pets.
